Herman Sanford Bradley, 73, of Beaver Pond Road, Carrollton, passed away Saturday Nov. 28, 2009. Mr. Bradley was born Aug. 20, 1936, in Carroll County to the late Joseph Sanford Bradley and Minnie Lee Morrow Bradley.

Mr. Bradley was retired having worked for more than 40 years for Lawler Hosiery Mill as a floor supervisor and was also a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church.

Besides his parents Mr. Bradley is preceded in death by sisters, Myrtle Akers, Mary Griffis, Clara Knoles, Lois Neese and Hazel Cook; and brothers, Herschel Bradley, James Bradley, Naaman Bradley, Caron Bradley and Byron Bradley.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Sue Waldon Bradley, to whom he was married for 54 years; daughter and son in-law, Tammy and Troy Blackwelder Jr. of Bowdon; daughter, Lorrie Ann Bradley; son, Keith Paul Bradley; and a sister, Evelyn Reece, all of Carrollton.

Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday Dec. 1, at Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel with the Revs. Ridley Palmer, Roy Hueyroyer and Troy Blackwelder officiating. Pallbearers were Winton Akers, Waymon Akers, Jodie Chandler, Richard Herndon, Lee Earnest and Glenn Blackwelder. Honorary pallbearers were his horse riding friends. Interment followed in Shady Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
